Google is doing a lot and that’s what everyone like to be a part of it and that’s what I see as benefits working in Google.

If anyone no matter what sort of skills s/he have working with Google will get a chance to groom her/himself in the following area;

  2. Can be a part of Google Tulip team which working to communicate with Tulips
  3. Can be a part of Google VPS team which will soon be a better navigation system than now
  4. Can be a part of Google TPU team which allows you to work with one of the fastest cloud on earth
  5. Can be a part of Google Lenses team to make it more smart and feature reach
  6. Can be a part of machine learning to help in education system
  7. Can be a part of YouTube team to help promoting more genuine and to the point clips and videos

About Windows 10

I think Microsoft wanted to have an OS, which will be compatible with Tabs as well as desktops/laptops. Instead of developing a whole new OS dedicated to phone or tab (which they did for Lumia earlier) they merged it with one OS.

Initially it was windows 8 followed by 8.1 and now improved version is windows 10.

The good part which I see here, the it does work like windows 7 along with App installation like IOS or Andriod.

Two ways to look at this picture.

1- From the kid’s point of view: they can now install whatever they want to quickly and easily and stopped bothering me to install and bring CDs / DVDs for games etc.

2- From the developer’s point of view: they can continue to install their git hub, .net framework along with Apache or tomcat installation.

There is a third point also, which is very interesting;

3- For elders / senior citizens, it was very difficult to work with windows prior to windows 10, they use to prefer to work with Android or IOS, now even they can hassle free working on windows 10 OS.

Since I have most of my professional life in IT and living in a joint family, where a senior member of my family is only 90 years old and he feels comfortable working with windows 10, on the other hand my kids are feeling more entertaining the windows 10 and at the same time, my Infrastructure team and development teams have no complaint with windows 10, I am glad and thankful for Microsoft to build this brilliant OS.

Recently Unemployed

Now a days being unemployed is very difficult and it becomes more difficult when you are leaving in a nuclear family, having home, car and other EMIs over your head.

If you are unemployed however having back support then it will not be an issue until you don’t have money in your pocket or you are unable to run your home.

Lets take an example:

Assume Tom is a good employee, however his company is running into lose, now the management want to shed some load.

One day they will call him and ask him to leave due to some reasons.

Since he had spent so many years in this company and had achieved a position, he’ll be tensed first about how to inform this to his family members. (Company doesn’t bother about all these)

After informing this to family, he will cross first phase of depression, then there will be questions from his relatives and other family members, he need to face all these questions and explain the situation.

He is very sensitive and dignified person. Now the third and most difficult phase will come for him, where he’ll be facing to his colleagues and friends.

How to answer them and at the same time to show them that he is doing well and will get a better job soon?

As the time will pass, gradually he’ll be isolating himself, his dependents, parent and family will stop asking anything where money will be involved and relatives will be gradually asking about if he need some financial or any type of help from them in a positive way.

His kids will decide by their own what is cheap and what is costly. Suddenly they will become mature for the financial matters. They will stop asking about outing, burger and Pizzas etc.

By now he’ll be thrashed, his confidence will be zero and it will difficult for him to apply anywhere. He’ll become a great thinker only. Trying to hide myself from questions and still pretending to apply in some of the companies.

Gradually he’ll try to contact to his friends and hopefully will find 2 or 3 among 300, who may try for him to get him back in business.

Hopefully he’ll get some interview call, however by then it will be very late, some companies after interview session will reduce his package upto 50% and some at the end will say, sorry your gap is more than what they were expected, some may contact him but seeing his gap time will reject him right away.

By now his saving will be exhausted and in front him, his family, his kids and parents will keep on standing with him. They will be the True Moral support for him.

He’ll try to sell his car to have some money in hand, however his wife will ask “what is the answer for kids for selling your car” and there he’ll surrender and will not sell it.

He’ll look for other savings and try to invest it at some places, however everything needs time to get mature and he will be running out of time.

There will be many who will ask free favor from him for their business or anything which can help them to grow and he’ll be doing it for free thinking that they may help him somewhere.

At this moment, he will start watching YouTube videos about how to earn x amount in few days. May be he’ll start making my “Freelancer, Fiver, Upwork” profiles and expecting some work to come to his bucket, however it is not that quick and easy

Later he may start making some videos and expecting these to go viral so that the YouTube will start giving him some money. (Getting 10k hours of watch time along with 100k subscriber is not that easy)

He may spend some of his valuable savings to purchase some domain and will be trying to sell something there.

He may be thinking about selling t-shirts, sometime to drive in Uber, sometime to give paid training but there are not 100% chance that these will work and give him some handsome money.

At the end, if his willpower remains with him, he’ll continue applying for jobs and may be get selected some day and if his willpower will be exhausted and he’ll be under huge debt and running out of money to pay his EMIs then the consequences may be dangerous. I hope and wish it will not.

Concentration & Constipation

Usually people would think and talk about both the words frequently. The more they grow old the more they will talk about these words. However, these two words doesn’t appear together until now.

During their working hours, people used to talk more about the “concentration” and as soon as they go to their personal / un-official life, they start talking about the second word “constipation”.

Is it because for the past few years the four letter word starting with “s” has been replaced with a different word? The answer is NO, or at least I don’t know because I don’t use either of words.

So how come the Concentration is related to Constipation?

We are so much obsessed with latest technologies and its swiftness that we had stopped listening our body’s need. All we think most of the time is about the money and money.

If you open YouTube or see Facebook Ads, you’ll notice that people are dramatically presenting you a way to get rich quickly and easily OR they are trying to become rich by selling something to you.

Alright so how is it changing Concentration to Constipation?

While we are continuously focusing about the sales, then we do think about the quality, sales after service, on time deliver, promotion etc. that makes our mind to be engaged all the time.

On the other hand, we used to keep on using our smartphones, laptops and other digital gadgets, which needs our full attention.

All these are directly or indirectly impacting our digestive system, as we have left the process of living and busy making processes of concentration. This is one of the reason which leading us towards the constipation and constipation is the mother of all illness.

Since we have pulled this point, so we should know how to get rid of it.

So the simplest way to keep the concentration only and remove the constipation are to focus and believe on yourself and stay concentrated over the process for yourself no matter how other processes need your attention.

While working on process, stay away from social media and news channels, while spending time, have a safe distance between the social media and new channels. It will help us to make a difference between concentration and constipation.

Does Smartphone at office affects your productivity and quality?

People now a days tend to believe that they are good at multi-tasking as a result everyone used to carry their smart phones with them. If anyone by chance slips it or forgot to carry his/her smart phone along, it becomes difficult for them to pass the rest of the time.

I remember back in 2004, there were many companies, which were not allowing you with the camera phones to enter into their premises. Since at that moment, even the simple phone was a luxury to have and many new mobile phone users were tend to show it off, were remain tensed by not having their phones with them.

Even today, there are many places where you can not go with your smart phone. Since people are so used to with the smart phone, that if they don’t have it, they feel incomplete.

I believe, initially it does have an impact over the quality productivity of anyone who is carrying his/her smart phone with them. Why?

Lets take an example:

Now a days everyone shares quick video clips, images or messages. Assume how much time one is spending for a 30 second video clip.

First they need to download it, it may take may be another few seconds, then you tend to watch it, alright few more seconds spent, now few of us tend to share it with many, another minute or seconds gone.

Post watching that clip, since our mind is very active, we intentionally or unintentionally think about it, now that’s a slow poison. Some come out from that thought quickly and some remains in the clip for a while.

Since the mind get diverted, there are chances of on time delivery, quality output and performance degradation.

On the other hand if we consider the same scenario for a person without having a smart phone, will have ample amount of time to connect himself with the office and the project.

Then there is a possibility that the quality will improve and he/she can more concentrate over the process and personality.

Fake Resume

We all are thinking that we are the smartest one in the world

We all are most of the thinking that we are one the smartest person on the earth. Sometime we deal with the situation smartly and convert our motive into results however sometimes it becomes an example of over smartness.

Faking your resume is one of its kind of such over smartness. Many think that they will not be caught by doing so, however if they will then the organization will simply fire them right away!

Now a day most of the MNCs are having a parameter of BGC (candidate’s background verification process), which they cannot avoid. During BGC if there is anything RED flag, then it will be better for the candidate to be ready to serve the consequences.

In case if the project, the candidate was hired for is really critical and organization is not getting any other better resource than you, then there is a possibility that they will give you to time to clear the mess or confess it with some warnings and let you continue. However, the chances are very minimal.

So my two cents will be, if you are going to be a part of any organization and you have a plan to take this relationship for long time, then please be trustworthy and open with them.
